City of Lithonia EPA Brownfields RLF

Public Announcement

The City of Lithonia through a sub-grant funded through the Development

Authority of DeKalb County (DADC) plans to demolish the former Lithonia Plaza

Shopping Center site owned by the city located at 6887 Max Cleland Blvd,

Lithonia, Ga. (specifically, buildings 2612, 2614, and 2616).  Before demolition can

commence asbestos abatement will take place. The demolition and asbestos

abatement will commence at the end of this 30-day notice.  The sub-grant funds

are part of a federal grant awarded to the DADC under an Environmental

Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund grant (EPA Cooperative

Agreement No. BF 954065080).
