City of Lithonia Announces Finalists for City Administrator Position

The Mayor and City Council have completed their search for the position of City Administrator and have selected four individuals for the final process for the top staff position. The Mayor and City Council will make a decision on the final candidate in February.
The Mayor and Council have conducted a thorough search and have evaluated multiple candidates that bring a variety of experiences to the position. The Mayor and Council are pleased to announce the following as their final panel of candidates: Timothy E. O’Briant, Alan C. Peterson, Meschery Pollard, and Lathaydra L. Sands. There will be an opportunity for the community to meet the finalists at 6:00 pm on February 4, 2019 before the City Council meeting at 6920 Main Street, Lithonia 30058.
Mayor Deborah A. Jackson stated, “This is an important decision and we want to make sure we select someone that will help take the City of Lithonia to the next level. We have accomplished a lot over the past several years, and are looking forward to the next phase of our development.”
The City of Lithonia is a historic city and one of DeKalb County’s smaller municipalities with a population of approximately 2,000. It is governed by an elected mayor and five council members.
